Activities in the region

Of course there is the unspoiled Ruaha National Park, but there’s much more to see like the Mkwawa Museum in Kalenga, the amazing Isimila Stone Age site and, just outside Mangalali, the wonder of God’s bridge.

But also on the farm and around at Mangalali there are so many local things to explore. You can learn how to cook local traditional food, like biriani, chicken or Pilau rice. But you can also have a local fruit tour or learn to tap bamboo juice (ulanzi) or do a pot bakery workshop.

And we have something very special at MARK’s farm and lodge. An Escape Room. The only one Escape Room in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania. So enjoy!

Gods bridge

Near Marks Farm & Lodge, you'll find this impressive piece of nature. Where the little Ruaha River disappears underneath big rocks.

Ruaha National Park

Marks Farm & Lodge is on the road to Ruaha National Park. In this pristine national park you will find the largest elephant population in Tanzania.

MARK's farm and lodge Escape Room

At MARK’s farm and lodge we now have an Escape Room, designed by a Dutch game-designer. An escape room is a themed event where you together with a group (2 till 6 players) need to solve a series of puzzles, riddles, and find clues that build on one another within 50 minutes.

Local life on the farm

Enjoy the local life on and around Marks Farm & Lodge. In the village of Mangalali you can see African rural life in its purest form.

Isimila Stone Age

Madagascar has their Tsingy and Tanzania has its Isimila. How nature shapes it's own beauty trough erosion.
